1. Who operates the service
Website Scorer, operating through WebsiteScorer.com, is the controller for the processing described in this policy. Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to contact@websitescorer.com.
2. Information processed
- Submitted website address: the public URL you ask the service to analyse.
- Audit result: technical findings generated from that public URL.
- Rate-limit identifier: the application derives a one-way pseudonymous value from the requesting IP address. The application does not write the raw IP address into its rate-limit files.
- Standard hosting logs: the hosting provider may process IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, user-agent strings and error information as part of normal web-server operation.
- Email correspondence: if you contact us, we process the address and content you choose to send.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Submitted URLs and audit data are processed to provide the requested service. Rate-limit data and technical logs are processed to protect availability, prevent abuse and diagnose faults. Email correspondence is processed to answer your request and, where necessary, establish or defend claims. These activities rely on performance of the requested service and the operator's legitimate interests in running and protecting it, subject to applicable law.
4. Retention
Completed audit cache files normally expire after six hours. Application rate-limit records normally cover a one-hour window and can remain briefly until routine cleanup. Email is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, operational records or legal obligations. Hosting-provider log retention is controlled by the hosting service and its applicable terms.
5. External services
The submitted public URL may be sent from the Website Scorer server to Google PageSpeed Insights to request Lighthouse measurements. The requesting visitor's IP address is not intentionally included in that server-to-server API request. Google processes the request under its own terms and privacy information. The site is hosted by OVHcloud, which processes infrastructure data required to deliver the service.
6. Cookies and analytics
Version 1 of Website Scorer does not set advertising cookies and does not include a third-party audience analytics script. Essential network and security processing can still occur at hosting and delivery layers.
7. Sharing
Information is shared only with infrastructure and measurement providers required to operate the service, when legally required, or when necessary to protect rights and security. Website Scorer does not sell submitted URLs or contact details.
8. International transfers
Service providers may process limited technical data in countries outside your own. Where required, those providers are responsible for appropriate transfer safeguards under their service terms and applicable law.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. Contact contact@websitescorer.com with enough information to identify the relevant correspondence or cached URL. Some pseudonymous rate-limit records cannot reasonably be linked back to a person.
10. Security and changes
The service uses bounded requests, protected cache directories and rate limits to reduce risk. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Material policy changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
