Why Website Scorer exists
Website quality is rarely one problem. A page can be fast but difficult to use, secure but invisible in search, or visually polished without a clear next step for a customer. Many tools isolate one metric and leave the reader to decide whether it matters.
Website Scorer takes a broader but intentionally focused approach. It reviews the public page through seven dimensions and explains the most useful next actions. The aim is not to produce the longest possible report. The aim is to make the first improvement easier to choose.
The service is designed to remain lightweight enough for independent businesses while still being transparent enough for technical users to challenge and verify. The scoring weights, limitations and data sources are public.
Created by Local Business Sites
Website Scorer is a free tool created and maintained by Local Business Sites, a website design service for small businesses and local service companies.
The connection is deliberate: Website Scorer identifies practical improvements, while Local Business Sites designs and builds fast, clear and mobile-friendly business websites. The audit remains transparent about its automated scope and does not turn a score into a sales guarantee.

What the tool does not do
Website Scorer does not perform penetration testing, credential testing, authenticated scanning, malware analysis or a complete crawl. It does not guarantee rankings, revenue, legal compliance or accessibility conformance. It cannot understand a company's strategy from HTML alone.
Those limits are deliberate. A focused first report is most valuable when it clearly separates evidence from assumptions and shows when a specialist review is the correct next step.
